I've learned on, in, about... EDUBLOGGING.

Personally, I'm not fund of blogging. I don't know anything about it, though I hear it everywhere, still, I don't have enough knowledge when BLOGGING is being talked about.

At first, it was pretty hard for me to adjust on Blogging. It is not as easy as Facebook. But as time went by, I realized that BLOGGING has an importance, too.

  Through BLOGGING... :
  • Through BLOGGING, I've gained more on comprehension.
- This means that, through Blogging, I read and understand deeply what I write and understand further what I write is all about.

  • Through BLOGGING, I easily remember what the topic means.
- This means that, through BLOGGING, I can easily cope up when the topic is being talked about. I can share my thoughts and my idea with the topic because I've read it and wrote it on my blog like the following:

1. Endocrinology

(Photo via: Google Images)
The study of the Endocrine System in which where one of the most important chemical in our body can be found called HORMONE.

2. Toxicology

The study of Poisons. It's effects and what it affects when administered in the body.

  • Through BLOGGING, I get the chance to see my other fellow bloggers' point of views about the different topic that they write.
- This means not only for the point of views, but also about their different opinions on the topic given.

Blogging is really an advantage. It helps an individual to gain knowledge even more about the different topics that are being talked about.

These are only a few on what I have realized when I have encountered Blogging. Hope you enjoyed blogging as much as I did!

God bless! =)

Oh. It's very TOXIC!

"When we have negative thoughts, we produce toxic responses in our body that make us sick. Make a conscious effort to change your thought patterns today for a healthier you tomorrow."

For this post we will talk about:

Many of us already has a background or a view of what is Toxicology. But most of us, doesn't really know what is the real view or the real meaning of Toxicology. Many would say, "Toxicology is all about Toxins, Toxic stuffs" or others may also say that Toxicology is all about poisons. But when we go deeper, that is not only what Toxicology does or means. Our knowledge is being limited of what we only encounter, so, let my blog, or this post, be a somewhat way, for you to understand deeper the study of Toxic - Toxicology.

Toxicology was first encountered in the ancient times. It was commonly used as weapons, anti-venoms and medicines. People back then used poisonous plant extracts for hunting and warfare. Throughout history, opium, arrow poisons and certain metals have all been used as used to poison enemies.

Through many years of investigating and studying, there were many discoveries and many came to a conclusion that Toxicology is related to and study of Poisons.

According to www.wisegeek.com, Toxicology is a study or the Science of Poisons. It is the study of the opposing effects physical agents or chemicals on living organisms. It is the study of symptoms, mechanisms, treatments and detection of poisoning, especially the poisoning of people.

Mathieu Orfila is considered as the Modern Father of Toxicology, having given its subject its formal treatment in 1813.

According to www.toxicologysource.com, Toxicology has different sub-fields or branches. It has:
  1. Risk assessment  which attempts to determine, probabilistically, outside the laboratory, the likelihood of an adverse effect based on a particular exposure scenario.
  2. Regulatory toxicology relies on risk assessment and experimental data to determine the risk and benefits, or the costs and benefits of exposure to certain chemicals, to determine whether such chemical will be allowed in the public sphere and to what extent its use and exposure will be regulated.
  3. Clinical toxicology involves the application of toxicological principles within a diagnostic setting, usually to determine whether a presenting adverse effect or disease or injury is due to some type of chemical exposure.
  4. Forensic toxicology focuses on medical-legal aspects of chemical exposure and toxic injury.

Toxicology is a important field of Science. It gives us information about the harmful effects of a substance or a drug. It makes us aware if the drug is poisonous or if a drug or a substance is okay to take.

And that is all for now. :)

Thank you for reading. God Bless!

Endocrinology.

My first post will be all about the Endocrinology. So, here it goes.

There are different systems in our Body that is regulating it to make it healthy. But not only our body which is being regulated to be healthy, but also our brain. One of the systems in our body that also helps our brain to function well is the Endocrine SystemThe endocrine system is made up of a group of glands that produce the Hormones (also called Long-distance messengers). Hormone is a very important chemical in our body. With this, our body and also our brain will function well and coordinated.  They are the ones who are responsible for our thoughts and also, hormones are chemicals which are responsible for our growth, sexual development, metabolism and so on and so fourth. Here's an illustration of our Endocrine System:

Through the advancement of technology, there were some further tests and studies about the Endocrine System which is called Endocrinology. Through the revolution of time, specialists were able to come up with this study focusing on only one system of our body. According to the website http://www.news-medical.net, "Endocrinology is a branch of Biology and Medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions called Hormones. It is concerned with the biosynthesis, storage, chemistry, and physiological function of the hormones and with the cells of the endocrine glands and tissues that secrete them."

Let us all be thankful of the different systems that make up our bodies! And to show our appreciation, we should take care of our bodies and our life because our body and life is only one. :)

"Life is only traveled once; today's moment becomes tomorrow's memory. Enjoy every moment, good or bad, because the gift of Life is LIFE itself." ♥

That's all I could share right now. Thank you for your time and dropping by! :) God speed.
